Century Group Lands Corporation is now seeking a Facilities, Mobile Operator to join our Facilities team in Tsawwassen.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Facilities, Mobile Operator is responsible for a wide variety of skilled duties involved in the installation, servicing, repair and maintenance of the assigned Century Group properties. This role has a significant customer service component and participates in the on-call schedule. This position comes with a company vehicle that can be used to and from work and during the shift.
Performs general plumbing duties including preventative repairs and shower and faucet repairs or replacements
HVAC, Boiler and Mechanical repair and maintenance
Performs restoration duties, including drywall repairs, painting, repair and maintenance of tub surrounds, and removal and replacement of floor coverings
Completes preventative maintenance and logs system reading and relevant information in established systems and in accordance with standards and procedures
Handyman duties including door hardware and lock work
Installs, tests, inspects, replaces, maintains and repairs worn or defective equipment and/or parts
Administrative duties as required
Coordination and supervision of 3rd service providers
Other general duties, as required, including, but not limited to, manual labour, power washing, snow removal,emergency generator testing, installation and removal of festive lighting, installation of countertops, moving furniture, basic carpentry duties and maintaining company vehicles and general clean-up and removal which may require use of utility trailer
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED plus four to six (4-6) years' recent related experience. Trade certificate or other trades related courses considered an asset. Clear Class 5 driver's license.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to physically carry out the duties of the job which includes the ability to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
Good oral and written communication skills and ability to resolve conflict
Ability to comprehend and interpret data, information and documents and ability to use technology tools and relevant software
Proven problem solving skills
Basic math and mathematical reasoning
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions
Demonstrated history or integrity and exceptional customer service skills
Ability to take calls as scheduled
