The Cook is responsible for upholding all the Browns Restaurant Brand standards and expectations.
Responsible for delivering perfect food to our guests.
Ensure your station is fully prepared for providing excellent service at hand.
Move through a variety of BOH stations, including but not limited to; Line setting, Broil, Fryers, Star Burners, Prep and dishwashing.
Work closely with Chefs and Sous Chefs, and assist with leading the line and coaching the 2nd and 3rd cooks.
Able to perform opening and closing procedures and preparations.
Ensure your station is thoroughly clean at all times, any cleaning duty deficiencies Chef must be informed.
Inspect the quantity of the products in your station, ensure you have enough back-ups for upcoming service.
Inspect food safe storage, spot check refrigeration units and hot holding temperatures and take corrective actions if needed.
Check equipment and temperature settings, making sure everything is working correctly.
Understands labour control.
Education & Experience
Food Safe Certificate
High School Diploma
Red Seal an asset
1-2 years of recent restaurant experience
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Record of maintaining high standards in food quality, guest satisfaction, restaurant cleanliness and sanitation
Passion for the business and compassion for people
Energetic, self-motivated, goal oriented and dependable
Good communication skills
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays
