Barbican Property Management is seeking aProperty Manager to join our team at our Head Office.
Reporting to the Director Revenue Properties, the Property Manager’s primary responsibility is for the satisfactory day to day assistance in managing the commercial portfolio, including all administrative work. The Property Manager will also assist with the management of the residential portfolio and third party management division.
All administrative duties required for the commercial portfolio
Assist the Director with leasing commercial units including marketing vacancies
Tenant correspondence, rent rolls, proof of insurance, percentage rents, chargebacks, year end recoveries and any other requirements under the commercial lease
Collection of rent, including arrears and past tenant filings with the credit bureau
Maintain excellent tenant relations, as you interact with tenants and staff to resolve tenant issues
Highly organized to ensure required paperwork and forms are completed accurately and on-time, and formatted according to company standards.
Prepare a wide variety of documents based on information received from multiple sources. This includes thorough proofreading and may include making editorial suggestions.
Assist with annual budget preparations
Maintains up to date staff Manuals for policies and procedures
Assist the Revenue Property team whenever required, including holiday and sick day coverage
Assist the residential and third party management teams when required for all aspects of property management
Entering all pertinent information into our software program (Yardi)
Follow company guidelines
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Our ideal candidate has at least two to three years of a similar position, coupled with a Grade 12 education. Previous commercial property management and office experience is essential and good knowledge of Google and Yardi preferred. Completion of either Rental Property Management License and/or Rental Property Administrator (RPA) Certificate would be an asset.
