The Waterford, our Bria Community located in Tsawwassen, is looking for a casual & regular Night Receptionist & Laundry to join our team. Together, we create safe and vibrant communities, where choices are valued and seniors lead active and purposeful lives.
Why Bria Needs You?
Reporting to the General Manager, or designate, the Night Receptionist & Laundry is responsible for performing laundry services to the standard required, to perform security duties including responding to resident emergencies and reception duties. On weekends a more thorough cleaning of the commons areas are required to be done.
Shift: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
Wage: $18.89/hour

You must have compassion for others and the ability to provide a high quality of care service.
We need a high energy and upbeat personality who can be playful, patient and respectful all at the same time.
You are open to learning new skills, participate in ongoing training, and have good communication both written and spoken.
You have a positive attitude and enjoy working in a senior care environment and/or a customer service environment.

What You Will Do!
Review the communications binder and complete any carry-over activities from the previous shift
Ensure all doors are locked and the building is secure
Sort resident laundry and ensure that the suite # is visible on it, re-label if needed
Wash, dry, and fold the resident laundry (bed linens and towels only)
Cleaning of the common areas as per the job routine
Conduct hallway and common area walk around to ensure the building is secure and clean
Ensure laundry equipment and supplies are used and stored in a safe and efficient manner. Reports unsafe or faulty equipment to the manager
Ensures health, safety and hygiene practices/procedures are adhered to and assists in maintaining quality assurance standards
Your Must Haves!
Minimum Grade 12 Education
Experience with commercial laundry equipment
Previous experience in a healthcare/front desk or laundry setting preferred
