Century Group Lands Corporation is now seeking a Learning and Development Partner to work closely with the Corporate Services team and leaders.
The Learning & Development (L&D) Partner is responsible for the coordination, facilitation, and implementation of an L&D program across all Century Group divisions. These programs would support an effective employee experience, and allow people to develop their skills. The programs would include leadership development, communication, and e-learning to name a few.
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the L&D Partner works in collaboration with the rest of the Corporate Services team and leaders in creating and implementing the training programs required.
Create and execute learning strategies and programs that meet the needs of our various divisions
Delivers a high quality employee experience, through a comprehensive learning plan that promotes growth, while meeting the needs of the business
Manage the performance review process and system in collaboration with Director, Human Resources and leaders
Collaborates with the Director, HR and leaders to develop training and development plans that address themes that emerge from the personal review process, support succession planning and increase overall organizational effectiveness
Utilizes the HCM training module to promote e-learning, and maximizing our efforts in maximizing automation, efficiencies, and adaptability
Provide HR support to the Century Group head office
Manage government grants as they become available
Identify and collaborate with 3rd party educational institutions in the areas where we can develop our people from within for future needs
Reviewing of materials in collaboration with Director HR of policies, process documentation and procedure manuals.
Provides assistance/coaching to employees on work related issues and concerns.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
University degree or college diploma in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or a related field complemented by 3 to 5 years of progressive experience within the field
Possession of a CPHR designation is preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Broad knowledge of all areas of the human resources field
Deep understanding of adult learning practices and strategies
Strategic outlook to support the objectives and goals for both the HR Department and the business
Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak, listen and write in a clear manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques. Strong relationship building, influencing, coaching and persuasion skills. Effective training and presentation skills.
Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver a high level of client service in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment.
Good judgment and the ability to work with a high level of independence while demonstrating a good sense of when it is appropriate to escalate issues to the Director, HR.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the proven ability to use these skills to distill information from a variety of sources into themes, to develop solutions to problems and/or to develop new and innovative ways to perform work tasks.
Ability to handle confidential situations and information with sensitivity, tact and discretion
Ability to travel to other work sites - Driver’s License (Class 5) required
