Resident Manager, Solaro
Barbican Property Management is seeking a Resident Manager, Solaro to join our team at Solaro. The successful candidate must live on site at Solaro.
Reporting to the Senior Residential Property Manager, the Solaro Resident Manager must reside within the Solaro rental building located in Langley, and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the subject premises, with responsibilities to assist in attaining financial and occupancy goals.
Ensures apartment buildings are safely and efficiently managed and maintained, including contacting Facilities Management and/or contractors for any required repairs that are beyond the normal duties of onsite maintenance, and suite cleaning as needed
Strives to maintain full occupancy, including ensuring that suites are rent ready
Coordinates all tasks pertaining to showing, renting and vacating suites in the apartment buildings
Responsible for rent collection, accounts receivable and distributing notices in accordance with the Residential Tenancy Act
Maintains the common areas of assigned sites to ensure they are clean, tidy and in good repair, including sweeping, vacuuming, minor maintenance repairs, leaf blowing and salting for ice and snow removal as necessary
Maintains good tenant and service provider relations
Be available for after hours call outs
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Our ideal candidate requires a Grade 12 education and a minimum of three (3) years recent experience in a Resident Manager position. Resident Building Manager Certificate is preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience with the Residential Tenancy Act is essential
Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must be physically able to perform janitorial work
Experience in customer service is an asset
Good computer literacy skills
