Barbican Property Management is seeking a Property Administrator to join our team in Tsawwassen. This role is a full-time position with a typical schedule of Tuesday - Saturday 10 am - 6 pm with a rotation of holding the after hours emergency phone (to answer the calls only, not attend to them).
Reporting to the Senior Residential Property Manager, and working at the Tsawwassen Rental Office, this role will assist the entire Barbican Property Management Team, with a primary focus on Residential. This person must be highly organized to ensure requested paperwork and forms are completed accurately and on-time, and formatted according to Company Standards. Prepare a wide variety of documents based on information received from multiple sources. This includes thorough proofreading and may include making editorial suggestions. Creates and distributes standard documents using information derived from company sources. Assist the Residential and Storage team with the management of a large portfolio of apartment and storage buildings.
Regular duties to include: Customer Service, Data entry, drafting notices & letters, creating spreadsheets and tracking documents and files, filing, and any other tasks requested.
Customer Service; assist our tenants and clients with inquiries, which will include being on a rotation, for assisting with after hours phone answering
Data entry of Tenancy and Storage Agreements in Yardi
Filing of all documents
Form Letters and Notices
Create and maintain spreadsheets
Working collaboratively with other stakeholders to achieve corporate objectives.
Attending to sites as needed and other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Preference given to someone with Residential Property administration experience. Our ideal candidate has at least two (2) years in a similar position, coupled with a Grade 12 education. Previous office experience and good knowledge of Google preferred.
Applicants living locally (Tsawwassen or Ladner) are preferred for this role.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong computer skills, including intermediate Google skills and an ability to quickly learn new software
Strong customer service and problem solving skills with an attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills combined with strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain integrity in relationships with co-workers and external customers
Experience with Yard is an asset, but not required.
