The Ridge is Nanaimo’s most liveable community, located in the upscale Hammond Bay area of North Nanaimo at the top of Glen Oaks Drive. Phase 1 of the project combined 46 mountainside lots and 34 townhomes providing a unique alternative to traditional suburban developments. The 64 acre plan protects the beauty of the existing environment and reduces the amount of pavement to conserve green space. Durable, energy-efficient and attractive homes are set in a traffic-calmed neighbourhood with narrower streets, parking pods, and leafy sidewalks; all bordering 400 acres of forested walking trails and parkland.
