Our construction division builds with long-term durability in mind. We deliver thoughtful, high-quality buildings for Century Group and third-party partners.
Barbican Property Management, a division of Century Group, oversees a diverse portfolio of residential, rental and commercial properties in vibrant, amenity-rich communities, along with convenient self-storage facilities.
From hotels to restaurants, our hospitality spaces reflect local spirit and create places to gather, dine, and connect.
Bria Communities provides vibrant, relationship-centred homes for older adults, supporting independence, care, and joy.

Our Story – A Vision for Sustainable Living

Century Group’s legacy is a homegrown vision for purposeful growth. Where we see potential, we make sustainable plans. When our community speaks, we listen and respond. And as times change, we continue to set new standards for living in British Columbia.

1957

Century Group founded

George Hodgins began buying land in Delta and building residential homes in Tsawwassen, launching a real estate business that rapidly took the lead in the development of South Delta.

1971

Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall

The completion of Tsawwassen's newest and finest shopping centre is Century Group’s first large commercial project.

1980

Mixed-use developments

Century Group expands into mixed-use and residential developments, emphasizing a longstanding commitment to integrated community planning.

1981

Century Village

Our first large rental project was the Century Village rental complex in Tsawwassen.

1989

Tsawwassen Inn

Now known as the Coast Tsawwassen Inn, the opening of the original hotel marked our first foray into the hospitality industry.

2006

Passing the torch

Sean Hodgins becomes a second-generation family leader as he steps into his father's role as Century Group President.

2007

Oliva

This mixed-use development is our first LEED-certified project, introducing suburban density to Tsawwassen.

2011

LEED recognition

Citypoint is awarded the largest LEED-certified residential project in BC and Silver Certification for New Construction.

2018

3 Civic Plaza and Civic Hotel

The launch of our second high-rise mixed-use project, featuring an independent boutique hotel with a signature restaurant. Developed in partnership with the Surrey City Development Corporation (SCDC), 3 Civic Plaza represented a unique opportunity to reshape the Surrey City Centre skyline with bold architecture, bringing together a unique mix of uses.

2020

Southlands Discovery Centre Opening

The much-anticipated opening of our Discovery Centre, the sales launch of a mix of townhomes and cottages, and the completion of our first phase of homes.

Southlands Grange Centre for Farming & Food

The Grange is a 3,650-square-foot, 2.5-storey agricultural support building, designed and constructed to provide facilities on the ground floor for receiving, aggregating, washing, and sorting produce grown on Southlands Farm.

2022

Southlands Red Barn

The Red Barn is an original dairy barn that Century Group extensively renovated into a community gathering space and event hall, featuring 2,600 square feet of indoor event space and a 750-square-foot commissary kitchen.

Century City Holland Park

Our largest project to date started construction across from King George Skytrain Station. At the terminus of the Expo SkyTrain Line, Century City Holland Park is the realization of the City of Surrey's vision for its future: a growing, vibrant, urban and green city.

Georgie Award Winner x 5

Southlands Tsawwassen wins five Georgie Awards. Including Best Single Family Home Production Development for our unique Courtyard Cottage design.

First Southlands Flats Move-Ins

Homeowners move into Southland's first flats at District Flats.

2024

Century City’s ‘Locale’ Rental Tower One Completion

Locale is the first completed phase at Century City Holland Park, a four-tower master-planned community across from the King George SkyTrain Station and backing Surrey's largest City Centre Park, Holland Park.

Combine Opening

Combine is a new cafe experience at the heart of Downtown Surrey that embodies the spirit of our community. It's a return to agricultural roots and a celebration of the ingredients, experiences and cultures that make this place unique.

2025

Century City Park Tower One Completion

The completion of our first market strata residential tower at Century City Holland Park, delivering 409 homes.

2026

250 Homes Completed at Southlands

We have welcomed our first 250 families, bringing the community to over 25% of its planned 950-home vision.
