The Civic Hotel comes to Surrey at the right time

With over $3 billion in recent and future investments in development, Surrey City Centre has grown to attract major players within the business community and residents looking for homes in a new downtown core. Surrey continues to attract new residents who share a common vision for the future of Downtown Surrey, and want to be a part of its growth as it develops into the next major business hub and city centre.

Recent and projected additions to the education, business and hospitality sectors have further propelled Surrey’s economic strength, creating 1,370 full-time jobs just within 3 Civic Plaza. With more than 70% sold, the demand for a luxury product like 3 Civic Plaza is evident.  Furthermore with the insertion of an Autograph Collection hotel, part of the Marriott International global portfolio, Surrey is expected to see continued growth in this market.

The Autograph Collection is an evolving ensemble of independent boutique hotels hand selected for their bold originality, rich character and uncommon details. Officially named ‘Civic Hotel at 3 Civic Plaza, Autograph Collection®’, the hotel will boast 144 rooms, a lobby based café, fine dining, fitness and pool facilities, a large convention space, and catering services.

Each hotel is fully integrated into Marriott International systems which include the award-winning Marriott Rewards membership program, and MARSHA, the first and strongest globally integrated reservation system in the lodging industry.

Room rates are expected to be approximately $140 to $150 per night and we expect 37,000 to 40,000 guests per year. With more convention space coming available and large companies such as Coast Capital moving their head offices to the area, we predict there will be a significant increase in demand for business travellers wanting to stay in Surrey City Centre.
