Southlands Bike-In builds community
The Third Annual Southlands Bike-In is happening Sunday, 13 September at the Southlands Market Square from noon to 4 pm. This year's event focuses on building community among the organizations and residents that make up the City of Delta and all of the net proceeds raised at the event will benefit Reach Child and Youth Development Society and The Delta Hospital Foundation.
Similar to in previous years, we will be leading a bike parade from The Cottage Courtyard in Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall down to the Market Square. To take part in the Bike Parade please join us at the Cottage Courtyard at 11:30 am and the bike parade departs at noon. Bikers will ride along 56th Street to the gates of the Southlands, through the fields of the future Southlands Community Farm and down to the Red Barn for a day full of festivities.
This year’s event will be much larger than previous years and will have lots of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Activities and attractions include hay rides, a rock wall, zorb races, food trucks, a beer garden, music, a kids’ zone and more!
In addition to raising money for the community, the Bike-In also promotes healthy living and sustainable transportation. Last year the Bike-In attracted 500 – 700 people with over 400 people riding their bikes down to the event. We encourage people to ride, walk or run down to the event again this year and will have The Bicycle Valet on site to ensure bikes may be stored safely (and for free).
Don't miss your chance to be part of this fantastic community building event!
