Thank You!
It was a cloudy day that ended in sunny results for The Delta Hospital Foundation and Reach Child and Youth Development Society. This year the Southlands Bike-In raised over $7,000, which will be shared between the two organizations.
Thank you to the hundreds of bikers, joggers and walkers that attended the Third Annual Southlands Bike-In and a special thank you to all of the members of the community that volunteered their time to help make the Bike-In a success; we couldn’t have done it without you!
Attendees enjoyed a selection of great food provided by The TOOB, Monty’s Mega Fries, Gypsy Trunk Vegan, Petra’s, and Sticky’s. The Delta Law Office also sponsored a beer garden serving an assortment of Red Racer beer and coolers. Popcorn, lemonade and watermelon were also available by donation.
In addition to plentiful food options, those who attended had the opportunity to try a rock climbing wall, zorb races, Jacob’s ladder, and whip-out. All activities were by donation and 100% of money raised went to the two name charities. Kudos to the Mike and Em Show for doing a great job performing collection of classic rock and pop covers on the main stage.
Our final thank you is for the wonderful local organizations and businesses that supported the event with their donations and participation Sponsors include Delta Cable, Vancity, Delta Optimist, Budget Foods, The Delta Law Office, Brenco Industries Ltd, Thrifty Foods, Save-On-Foods, Budget Foods, Sticky’s Candy, Collaborate Delta, Project Pickle, The Delta Bike Company, Delta Chamber of Commerce, The Rotary Club of Tsawwassen, Tsawwassen Business Improvement Association, Mario’s, Tsawwassen Saturday Market, Coast Tsawwassen Inn, Bremner Foods, Wellbrook Winery, The TOOB, Browns Socialhouse, Petra’s, Wood n Frog Coffee Company, Grapes 4 U, and Paton Farms.
